First of all I had no idea that these crazy things were continuing to happen over there, because I don't watch the news. They were talking of Genocide and how thoes people are constantly going through this worst type of evil. There has been 70,000 deaths due to malnutrition stemmed from the conflict that happen from March and October 2004. There are 50,000 that have died from vilages. Out of the 6 million people in the population over more than 2 million have fled their homes for fear of their lives. I can not express the anger and sympathy in my heart and mind for thoes people. It seems really stone age for the killings to keep going on like they have. I guess my opinion doesn't matter all that much because I don't know too much about it and I have done nothing to bring awareness to the genocide. But I will guess that is because of proximity. Being that if it doesnt seem close to y0u in some way that it wont affect you. I guess thats why this nightmare is happening in Sudan. It seems like the only way to touch down on americans such as myself is to have a movie or documentary made of it like hotel rowanda, cause no one watches local news, why would they watch national, just to see more violence? i think not. Awareness definitly needs to be brought up more to the younger generation so that future events wont happen.
